For a fair amount of time now, we have been reviewing Web building and related applications for our monthly e-zine, Web Builder Bulletin, as well as our columns in the Tips 'n Tricks section of the site. What we soon discovered is that since we only devote one, or at most two topics per month, per publication to reviewing software, that a lot of other good software was getting neglected. Alas! We present you with the RevZone.

The RevZone

So, what else can you expect to see in the RevZone? There are currently three rating levels for application: Reviewed, Editor's Pick, and the mysterious Gen-X award... Within the near future, as reviews become more abundant, we will also open the polls to choose the People's Choice Award, for the best application in a given category, but back to the current time, an application labeled as Reviewed will mean exactly that: It has been reviewed by a member of our team. The Editor's Pick will go to one application per month, from all of the reviews, that has proven to be above and beyond status-quo, and the Gen-X award will be reserved for very specific applications meeting a strict set of criteria as set by lead developer, Jeffrey Allan but, which at this moment will not yet be announced.

What categories of applications can you expect to see in the RevZone? As the amount of application reviews warrents, we will expand the categories to include the following:

• HTML Editors
• Web Graphics & 2D Animation
• Web Programming
• Builder Utilities
• VRML & 3D Animation
• Web Client Applications
• Cool Stuff (Doesn't fit into other categories)
